Hardly anyone I know does not now have some kind of mp3 player, although the most popular without a doubt are apple iPods. Before I could actually afford to buy a brand new iPod, I would spend hours on the Internet searching long and hard for some kind of an apple iPod mini discount. The first generation of the iPod Mini was announced and later released between January 2004 and February 2004. However, after initial success and the release of the second generation version in 2005, the Mini version was actually discontinued and iPod lovers will know, was then superceded by the new iPod Nano. The newer iPods appear to be looking and acting more and more like cell phones in that they are able to perform impressive applications that only previously applied to cell phones. The fact that you can now access applications such as an organiser which lets you create alarms, set up contacts, a calender and in some cases even a to do list, is just amazing to me and all by just using the easy clicker under the thumb. I am one of those people who just hates to queue and is very impatient so having my ippod mini with me is a lifesaver. I can access the various games and quizzes and the time soon flies by. The iPod games are just the best idea when you have some time to waste.
I also like to accessorize my ipod, whether it be with matching the colour of the ipod with my headphones, or buying a variety of cases that I can change depending on my mood or where I am travelling to, or even if I want to look a bit more mature, nothing worse than having someone at work stare at your pink, fluffy cow ipod case! Whilst it is great that these cases can often increase your ipods attractivness, they are also great if you have a tendancy to drop things… cases protect the ipod mini from scratches and is a definiate must have. Of course there are lots of other IPod mini accessories, which creates half the fun when you go searching for them, they are great fun to try out.
Most people are now familiar with the fact that you can sync your ipods with your computer and iTunes now, however I must emphasise how great it is that you can vary the option of how you want it to sync, whether you want it to do it automatically or manually etc…The speed of sync has also greatly increased and you can now often move an entire cd collection from your computer to your ipod mini in no time at all. The large changes that have taken place in the last couple of years have been impressive enough and in the future iPods will no doubt continue to show great advancement.
